Time is really fast changing. The games once played as board games are now made to movies and are even made into computer or video games. One example for this is the Clue or also known as Cluedo. This is a deduction board game with mystery and murder as its theme. The Clue characters have been so popular because of the huge number of people playing the board game. Not only are the children fascinated with the clue characters but the adults as well. In fact, there are still many people who go to costume parties in clue characters. One proof of its continues popularity is the fact that there are costumes of the characters of Clue which are sold online. This board game has really gone far from the first time it was released in the market.

Clue Board Game Characters

For those who are not yet familiar with the Clue and the clue characters, let me give you a brief introduction of this board game. As already mentioned, this is a murder/mystery themed board game which the objective of the game is for the player to move around the game board which is a mansion strategically. There are six Clue characters and the players will be in guise of these players. They have to deduce which suspect has killed or murdered Dr. Black/Mr. Boddy who is the perpetual victim. They must use the clues to make their conclusions of the who the murderer is, in what room was he killed and what weapon was used to kill him.

The clue characters come in different colors to identify each six characters. The red piece is Miss Scarlet, the yellow piece is Colonel Mustard, the white piece is Miss White, the green piece is the Reverend Green, the blue piece is Mrs. Peacock, and the purple one is Professor Plum. The appearance of the clue characters usually comes in character figurines or colored plastics shaped like chess pawns.

The board game has already many spin-offs versions due to its popularity. And as the years passed, the board game was made into books, films, musicals, television series and video games. Until now, the clue characters are still alive because they are still the ones present in the video games. The clue characters are yet to stay for a long time since many are still into playing the Clue, it may not be in the form of a board game anymore but in video games.
